The Importance of Tongue Kissing
Simply embrasser avec la langue (French kiss). It is the French definition literally meaning” tongue kissing”. Although French in its origin, it is internationally enjoyed. We have all tried it at some point with our boyfriend/girlfriend, lover or spouse (especially if you are over the age of 12 these days in America) and let’s face it most of us like it.
What is the meaning or importance of such a kiss? It is certainly unlike any other kiss. When we see someone we’re fond of, such as our family members, or someone we have not seen in ages, we generally will give a kiss, ever so faintly upon the cheek. It is a sign of affection and joy at seeing them. However, it is unlike the goodnight kiss you give to someone after that first great date (usually) without wanting to be forward.
Tongue kissing is a world onto itself. Some may say it is like a form of foreplay. It is something that is so intimate, so very passionate that we don’t perform it unless we are being intimate with someone of romantic interest. We don’t tongue kiss with just anyone. The idea of placing ones tongue into an others mouth exchanging bodily fluids (saliva) is liken to simulating a sexual gesture. Most people reserve that expression for someone we want to be intimate with.
Let’s face it, in the real world; the basic exchange of bodily fluids is not something we take lightly, with respect to the many diseases spread this way. So when we voluntarily exchange these with another person, we are telling that person something about ourselves. We are saying we are open to that person, we trust them, and we are showing the first sign of a possible sexual experience or encounter that we may want! We are expressing desire, and a sexual expression of need, a need to be intimate. It is a need to stimulate and to be stimulated.
No other kind of a kiss can convey this idea on its own the way a tongue kissing can. It is practiced by people of all ages, with varying effects for each of them. In younger people, it tends to have an effect on the male libido in way’s that may be frustrating and exiting all at the same time, in anticipation of what may transpire as the relationship goes on. In older more mature people it can be less frustrating, and a more exciting because of the known outcome of an encounter with a romantic interest we are kissing.
