Kissing Advice
Every one is the same. We all like affection, and we all want to be kissed by someone we are attracted to. It is one of the most genuinely good things we humans can do that no other animal can do the same way. It gives us a feeling that nothing else can. So what advice can be given about kissing?
In any relationship, whether you are looking forward to the first kiss or you have kissed many times, the advice is, make it count. Don’t go through the motion without the emotion.
Kissing signifies different things to different people. Depending on the culture of your relatives, kissing even in this day and age may seem inappropriate, or it may seem as common as a handshake. But it should not be taken lightly.
For American young people, they are bombarded with lots of sexual media. It doesn’t matter whether it is seen online, in magazines, on a poster, in a movie, or on a music CD cover. It is everywhere they look.
However, kissing is a very private, intimate, sexual expression, although not sex, it is sexual expression between people who are attracted to each other. (It is not kissing your cat or dog because you love it.) It is a standard way of showing sexual interest. But young people seem to want to pursue this interest at younger and younger ages. This is believed to be due to the exposure from the media they see on a daily basis.
The advice given here goes back to what my parents told me and their parents told them and so on. Don’t do anything before your ready to, and don’t let anyone tell you differently.
Kissing can be very innocent and stay that way if you have a good idea of who you are and what your limits are. That has to do with your upbringing. However, kissing can, and does usually lead to more physical expressions of interest that young people don’t realize or fully understand until it is too late and something unwanted happens. I would say that the best kissing advice is to know your limits.
The last best bit of advice I can give if you decide to pursue the “kissing thing”, is to enjoy it for all it is worth! If you are ready, kissing is fun and exciting. When it is done with the right person, you can explore all the butterflies and fear that being open and vulnerable to kissing someone we really like, can bring. Nothing can compare.
